DISPENSARY SERVICE: IMPORTANT UPDATE
Change to Delivery of Medication to Quy Post Office
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PATIENTS WHO COLLECT THEIR MEDICATION FROM QUY POST OFFICE
We have been advised that from 18 October 2021 Quy Post Office will no longer provide this service. This means that patients who would currently collect their medication from Quy Post Office will need to come to the Dispensary to collect their items.
Alternatively, patients can have their medicines delivered using our free delivery service. See the article below for details on the service and how to apply.
Bottisham Medical Practice Medication Delivery Service
We have updated our dispensary team and delivery systems and are proud to introduce our new delivery service to support our local community.
All patients qualify for this free service provided by our own staff and drivers.
If you would like to take advantage of this service, please complete and sign the application form below and return it to the surgery.
If you are unable to come into the practice, for example if you are housebound or shielding, we can arrange for our Social Prescriber to help complete the form on your behalf.
Once you have ordered your medicines, please wait for them to be delivered. If you are out when the driver calls they will bring your items back to the surgery and leave a note asking you to contact the Dispensary to rearrange your delivery date or arrange for your items to be collected.
THE DISPENSARY HATCH IS CLOSED BETWEEN 12PM & 2PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
If you wish to speak to a member of staff from the dispensary on the phone, please call after 10am. Reception are currently handling all calls and your message will be passed onto the dispensary team who will contact you at their earliest convenience.
Due to reduced staffing numbers, please bear with us as there may be a longer wait at the dispensary hatch. We ask that only one person at a time comes into dispensary, otherwise please queue outside until the dispensary area has been vacated. Please wear a covering & sanitise your hands upon entry of the surgery.
We are still working to a 5 working day turnaround on repeats, and we ask that you do not attend the practice to collect early as this increases the pressure on the dispensary team along with unnecessary footfall in the practice. Do not call to chase within 5 working days of your request.
If you have spoken to a GP and they have issued an acute prescription for collection, please allow at least 3 hours for this to be received by dispensary and dispensed. Again, this will help reduce footfall ensuring patients only attend once.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our patients for your support during this time.
